About Verge
Verge is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency aimed at fast, everyday peer-to-peer payments on its own blockchain network; CoinMarketCap tags it under privacy and medium-of-exchange categories, with mining support across multiple algorithms.
The project's official Telegram presence includes the announcement channel "Verge Currency | News" (@vergeXVGannouncement), with around 2,450 subscribers as of 26.09.2026, and a Russian-language group, "Verge [RU] (XVG)" (@vergeru), described as the official Russian-speaking Verge group, with about 268 members. No recent posts were visible in either channel to describe current discussion topics.
Both channels have been confirmed by the catalog's editorial review as official. One Telegram handle once associated with Verge is now explicitly self-labeled as a scam and has been excluded from this profile — a reminder that with Verge in particular, it's safest to reach official channels only through the vergecurrency.com site or the CoinMarketCap page, never through search.
