The Avalanche blockchain has seen a significant surge in bitcoin bridged to its network, with over 2,000 bitcoin worth $44.7 million ported on Thursday alone. This brings the total amount of bitcoin bridged to the Avalanche network to 8,504 BTC worth $190.9 million as of Friday. The number of BTC bridged to Avalanche has grown 62% since January, surpassing the capacity of the Lightning Network. BTC bridged on Avalanche, also known as BTCb, now has a supply 38% larger than that of the Lightning Network.
