This Changed Everything: Source Code for WWW x Tim Berners-Lee, an NFT

The source code for the World Wide Web by Sir Tim Berners-Lee’s will be auctioned at Sotheby's.

It is the first historical artifact relating to the invention of the World Wide Web in 1989, offered directly by Sir Tim Berners-Lee himself.
The NFT is composed of four elements all digitally signed:
the original time-stamped files containing the source code;
an animated visualization of the code;
a letter written by Sir Tim reflecting on the code and the process of creating it;
a digital “poster” of the full code created by Sir Tim from the original files using Python including a graphic of his physical signature;

The best thing about NFT is its equivalent to provenance in conservative art, an authenticity mark, a signature. It opens up to more and more people enabling us to look back on the amazing inventions and look forward to new opportunities. Now we can possess not only physical forms in terms of paintings or sculptures but the ideas behind significant even historical events.

Sealed Cryptopunks: Five Punks on Paper
Sotheby's preparing a new auction of CryptoPunks after the exceptional sale earlier this month.

Of the 10,000 Cryptopunks created by LavraLabs, only 24 were issued in physical form, as certified prints signed by co-creator John Watkinson. Five of those 24 prints will be auctioned at Sotheby’s: #6347, #770, #872, #1819, and #2830 along with a “paper wallet” - a mnemonic code that provides access to the unique Ethereum-based token.

The first drop includes three Walls from Dmitri Aske, Misha Most, and Andrey Berger dedicated to digitalisation and evolution (btw those works are old and was created long before the whole NFT craze).

"Baby Birkin", an NFT Artwork by Mason Rothschild and Eric Ramirez, was sold for $23,500 on Basic.Space Compare the auction NFT price to $9,400 for a real small Birkin bag.

The 2000x2000 animation in 3D max is soundtracked by a space-age .wav audio file, amplifying this illustration of pregnancy in an enigmatic creation, and an ironic nod to the iconic bag.

The auction didn't involve Hermès, who did not sign off on the use of its trademark-protected brand name or the “Birkin” name, and therefore led to a trademark-centric lawsuit.

However, there are no signs of any legal proceedings between Hermès and the Baby Birkin creators.

American astronaut, Neil Armstrong will become a pioneer in the exploration of the metaverse.

The United States Space Force & SpaceX are launching a satellite to honor Neil Armstrong on June 17 as well as satellite NFTs in conjunction with the actual launch.

For this ground-breaking initiative, Space Force partnered with digital artist companies WorldwideXR and VueXR, to release their own NFTs with augmented reality.

The NFT collection, called “Armstrong Satellite NFT Launch with Space Force,” is the first USSF NFT collection. It included a limited edition digital twin NFT of the GPS III SV05 “ARMSTRONG” satellite and GPS III SV05 “ARMSTRONG” Coin and Patch NFTs modeled after the commemorative coins and patches typically reserved for USSF mission team members.
