2022-12-20 00:18:55 YAK <> GMX Treasury Swap Completed: esGMX now earning extra yield for GLP depositors

The Treasury Swap has been executed, with 1,323 esGMX tokens swapped for 251 YAK.

The esGMX has been staked to boost yields for all depositors in the GLP vault. Staked esGMX earns AVAX fees just like regular GMX does. These AVAX fees will now be compounded back into more GLP, improving returns for everyone.

Currently there’s more than $120K worth of GMX earning additional yield for GLP stakers. And this is before Avalanche Rush kicks in, which is coming soon .

2022-12-14 19:26:28 The time has come. Avalanche Rush is coming to Yield Yak in time for Christmas via a major collaboration with GMX.

Avalanche Rush

Up to $100k in AVAX Avalanche Rush rewards will be distributed to Yield Yak’s GLP strategy depositors over the course of four months. Rewards increase upon hitting key TVL milestones, creating a unique situation for yield-farmers where more TVL and users means more rewards for everyone .

But thats not all…

Yak Swap GLP Router

Yield Yak are launching a novel upgrade to Yak Swap which adds GLP as a tradeable asset. Trades will be routed in and out of GLP via the most under- or over-balanced assets if slippage is less than fees, helping maintain assets’ target weights. The adapter can be seamlessly integrated into other protocols, including GMX.io.

Treasury Swap

Yield Yak and GMX communities have completed a YAK <> esGMX treasury swap aimed at aligning financial interests, with even more esGMX going towards further boosting the GLP vault.

Wen Rush? Soon . Expect both Rush and the new Yak Swap GLP router to kick-off in time for Christmas .

There’s a lot to unpack on this announcement, including details on how Rush Rewards scale up if TVL milestones are achieved.

Yield Yak <> GMX Update: YY Vote Passed, Voting underway on GMX

Yield Yak's collaboration with GMX, which includes a Treasury Swap worth up to $100K YAK for esGMX tokens, is progressing:

The Yield Yak community vote has confirmed the collaboration with 99% approval.

Should the vote confirm the treasury swap, the tokens will be transferred and the esGMX will immediately go towards further boosting Yield Yak's GLP vault.

2022-11-30 14:29:30 Vote with your YAK: New proposal for Yield Yak x GMX Collaboration & Treasury Swap

Voting is now live on a proposal to strengthen protocol ties between Yield Yak and GMX via a YAK <> esGMX Treasury Swap. If this proposal passes Yield Yak will:

Receive up to $100k of esGMX for the Yield Yak GLP vault in two tranches of $60k on approval of the proposal and $40k at the time of deploying on a second agreed chain.

Transfer an equivalent value of YAK tokens staked on Yield Yak to the GMX DAO.

These tokens are intended to be permanently staked by Yield Yak and GMX to accrue yield and governance rights.


The proposal benefits YAK holders in the following ways:

Boost its GLP vault performance which will offer higher yields due to the esGMX earning AVAX rewards for GLP depositors. This should in turn attract additional TVL and platform fees.

Strengthen protocol ties, including being a member of GMX’s Avalanche Rush campaign which will support Yield Yak’s GMX integrations.

Lays groundwork for a potential multi-chain expansion towards chain(s) where GMX is deployed on.

Voting is open to anyone who has YAK staked or deposited into the auto-compounding YAK farm. As always, let us know if you have any feedback on any of our community channels.

From the beginning, Yield Yak Contributors have believed that audits are one important tool in a broader toolkit for smart contract security. Yield Yak’s code has been extensively reviewed by community members, battle-tested in production with up to $750M TVL at its peak, and has continued to invest in independant reputable audits, regardless of market conditions.

Smart Contract Auditors CoinFabrik, have just recently completed their latest Yield Yak audit, which was focused entirely on YY’s GLP vault. The audit has been made public and can be reviewed on CoinFabrik’s blog.

This particular audit was commissioned with future 3rd party integrations in mind. The GLP vault can be a key building block for other DeFi protocols, particularly as an attractive and secure collateral asset, and we look forward to more protocols integrating it going forwar Open / Comment
